But I bet Fast X is gonna get a 4K no sweat. Universal is baffling. They put out Doom and RIPD but no 4k for actual hits Violent Night, M3GAN, Black Phone, and Cocaine Bear.

I am sure we'll get it at the same time as the U.S. Just because it's not listed on Amazon Canada doesn't mean anything, other than Amazon Canada has been very poor since the pandemic started. Very slow to add pre-orders and listings, getting product months after release and sometimes never getting it. Cancelling orders and claiming they can't get the product, even though I see it in other retailers.
Unfortunately, in the small town I live in, there is no brick and mortar I can go to for my media wants. Amazon is it.

Bit of a side topic, but it sounds like Cage took on a million projects to take on debts and ended up being a top tier draw for campy flicks. It probably doesn't hurt he had experience with left field films prior to becoming an A-lister in the 90s, so these are probably fun projects. I enjoyed the goofier Cage movies growing up like Amos & Andrew. Also enjoyed the completely forgotten ones like Kiss of Death. He's had a pretty wild career with a lot of twists and turns both personally and professionally. Many have probably already forgotten he won a best actor Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas. At this point it seems like he's fully embracing the b-movie king moniker.

Nicolas Cage is a great actor as great as anyone you want to mention.

Some people bad mouth his performance in Peggy Sue Got Married, basically saying he's using a Pokey voice from Gumby. I've always felt it was one of his greatest performances, very funny and heartfelt.

I loved Unbearable Weight, looking forward to Renfield. Even in bad films Nic is great but thank you for mentioning Amos and Andrew. I didn't realize or forgot about it's bluray release so I'm going to buy it today.

I'm a huge fan.

Just saw this today in the theater and had a lot of fun with it. Nic Cage was really great in this role as Dracula.

Will grab this when it comes out.

Hopefully, the lack of a 4K Blu-ray is a temporary thing. I'm very tired of films like Licorice Pizza not getting the proper 4K treatment after having seen them like that in a theater. I can see something like Renfield getting the boutique treatment though since it appeals to certain genre niches.

I would have released this in October and named it Nicolas Cage's Dracula. I think it would have made WAY more money.

That's what I thought as well. I don't think most people know who Renfield even is. The few people I've talked to about it had no idea who Renfield was.

Saw it, but unfortunately, found it very mediocre. Some of the film is genuinely gut-busting and hilarious whereas other parts seem like they're waiting for you to laugh at very basic 2010s comedy jokes. I found the editing to be poor, especially during the action scenes, and I found the overall pacing way too quick for anything to have any real impact. It's not a bad film buy any means but I didn't quite like it either. Will pass on the Blu

I watched Vampire's Kiss and Renfield on consecutive nights and found they made a good double feature.

I really enjoyed both and am not sure why Renfield didn't perform better at the box office.
