Anyone think this will get a USA release? I know realistically it won't come out in the UK. Just not sure if plaion do good transfers either. Thanks

I wouldn't be surprised of A24 releases this in one of those oversized sets on 4K disc next.

I don't have the German disc yet, because the order is bundled with a pre-order item, but I think BD-66 should be perfectly fine with this one due to both running time and aspect ratio. Compression wise I guess I'd also pick Plaion first - over Eagle I mean. Plaion also tends to preserve the properly (English) burnt-in titles, which isn't a given with Eagle (even with above specs I mean).

And of course there's also the typical downgraded audio on the Eagle (5.1 vs 7.1 on Plaion).

I have the German disc and watched a little bit of it and it looks great. The only thing is that A24 has an Atmos track for this streaming, while the German only has 7.1. not sure how much of a difference at most would make for this movie but worth mentioning

I don’t have this edition and am not planning to get it but I’d be very surprised if Plaion started to translate on-screen titles, credits etc. into German. I have most of their recent 4K UHD releases and don’t have a single one with imposed German titles anywhere. This is such a big plus and a key reason for why I buy their discs.

I hope that’s what you mean. Otherwise English on-screen text is surely subtitled into German during the film if you have German subtitles enabled.

Besides, I strongly assume that this edition will be the best edition for the film for now as Plaion’s encoding is very impressive.

Just want to point out that the Italian Eagle release is a different encode compared to the German one (unlike X and Men, which share the same video and audio). It's also a BD100 whereas Plaion used a BD66.

I don't have the disc, sorry, but that "Subtitle: Italian / 0.269 kbps" somewhat confirms that all the text is in English.
