Yeah, cause it's new and the alternative would've been issuing a new BD as well to include these extras.

Just sayin', don't take this as a sign that Sony intends to port over the commentaries to the 4K disc from now on.

I'm also wondering this too. I know Sony has lately re-released things with just a steelbook only release but I'm hoping for a regular edition release as well.

Not a huge fan of the cover but I am psyched this is getting a 4K release, I bet this will look absolutely stunning.

I wonder if this will be released side-by-side with last year's Matilda the Musical. Sony owns the film, and it seemed to do pretty well on Netflix, so I'd be surprised if they didn't release it on Blu-ray eventually

It's possible. I see with some Sony releases, that there's a one year window between the Netflix release, and the Sony BD, so it may not come in September. It was released on Netflix on Christmas day, so if it's coming, it'll probably be for December, or early 2024.

Not for me, but really glad to see the studios are not afraid to put out 4K UHDs from different genres. Most of it is high intense action/adventure or sci-fi so it's good to see stuff like this (other than animation) for kids.

BTW, Sony slowly knocking them out from their 2020 survey (this was on it).
