Hey,
When/if I upgrade to 4K do I have to get a new reciever like this one: https://www.richersounds.com/yamaha-rxv6a-black.html - is this a good system? ![]() My current setup is serving me well but it's quite old, and I doubt it has 4K passthrough or things like that ![]() |

Not sure what you're using now but if you're happy with your present speakers you should be fine using them. I'd also consider Denon receivers.

I have the Yamaha TSR 700, which is the Costco version of the RX-V6A and have had really good results, albeit a bumpy road at first were they had a defective HDMI board. This not affected Yamaha, but Denon (and I believe Onkyo) as well. They replaced the bad boards through a repair program where they replaced the boards with a turnaround of 5 days (Denon offered a stand alone box to bybass it) and all is good now. I personally have had good luck with Yamaha receivers over the years. My last one was going 20 years strong, but I ended donating it to a friend.
