A 32-disc super deluxe boxset issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of Camel's self-titled debut album. A definitive tribute to a legendary band, the box features newly remastered versions of every Camel album and single issued between 1973 and 1984. Courtesy of Steven W Tayler, the set also includes new stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound versions of the albums Camel, Mirage, Music Inspired by The Snow Goose, Moonmadness and Nude, as well as new mixes of three concerts; The Marquee Club, London 1974, Hammersmith Odeon 1976 and Hammersmith Odeon 1977. Elsewhere, previously unreleased out-takes from album recording sessions and BBC Radio "In Concert" appearances from 1974, 1975, 1977 and 1981 appear, along with a Blu-ray video discs of promotional videos and BBC TV appearances and the 1984 concert film Pressure Points. Contains an illustrated book with essay, and a poster.

The 2023 remastered and expanded version of Mirage is up on streaming services. Sounds really nice,IMO.

I mean, I love Camel probably more than most people I've ever met and this is even overkill for me.

I wonder if there isn't a certain amount of desperation in these big box sets. Perhaps they know that physical media is on the wane and the audience is aging out, so they need to dump everything on the market now because it may be their last chance.

Man, this is tempting. And it looks like some albums have unreleased tracks, too. All of these BDs look solid as well. I don't feel like dropping $300 on CDs - wish there was a vinyl version too - but I am a big fan of Camel so I'd probably grab this if the price reduces under $200.

amazon germany is 175 with fast shipping and i still have mine locked in but it is still sold out.. maybe it will come back soon.

I would easily buy a box set containing just the blu-rays, but this is just too much.

I have Mirage on CD and have been sampling the other albums on Spotify and I think I am going to have to pass for the amount they are asking for it.
