This could be really good if done right, or a horrible trainwreck if done wrong. Personally, I'm curious to know what aspects of the games will be used for the story.

Yeah I would imagine there will be tons of quality control on this right? Zelda is arguably the most acclaimed videogame series of all time. It will be a massive disappointment if this wasn't done right.

Also curious to see which game it is adapting from.

since it is Sony, I am predicting these cast members:

1. Tom Holland - Link
2. Zendaya- Zelda
3. Tom Hardy- Ganon/Ganondorf
4. Michael Keaton- Rito tribe
5. Dwayne Johnson- Goron tribe
6. Robert Downey Jr- King Of Hyrule
7. Chris Pratt- Zora tribe

Don't underestimate the number of franchises Pratt is apart of!
Some Suit in an office somewhere is probably considering Chris for Link

On a serious note, who is everyone's pick for Link and Zelda? Link doesn't emote much or talk at all in the games. Not sure what his personality is.

Zelda...Dakota Fanning? Chloe Grace Moretz? Someone unknown?

I think its best if they cast unknowns for Link and Zelda, and only using a name actor for Ganon. As for Link's personality, he's somewhat like an elf in appearance, and Ocarina of Time says the Kokiri who raised him were more like eternal children.

She's aged out if they're planning on a franchise, but I would've gone with Jessica Rothe a few years ago.

Get someone with a great voice for Ganon, like Tony Todd, Ron Perlman, Dennis Haysbert, or Benedict Cumberbatch.

My personal favorite from the series is Ocarina of Time, but I realize they'd have a tough time adapting all the dungeons and such into a single film.

Ocarina will work if they are going for a traditional fantasy adventure film. That or Skyward Sword.

I think Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom would be amazing if they are going for like Green Knight tone, which I doubt. I actually think both games would be incredible as survival films.

I’m assuming it will be more of an adaptation of the series than a specific game full on.

Hopefully it’ll be similar in the classic fantasy tone of something like the LotR Trilogy or Legend. Serious but with the occasional lighter moments, definitely not comedy heavy.

Hesitant with Arad’s involvement but with Miyamoto being hands on and Nintendo providing the majority of the financing, that bodes well for their control of the content.

I enjoyed the Maze Runner movies and the new Apes movie looks to be shaping up nicely from the initial trailer, so hopefully Ball is the right guy for this.

I did get a chuckle out of Sony co-financing and distributing. I guess Universal doesn’t have a lockdown on Nintendo movies.

As long as Arad doesn't have much do to on this movie let Miyamoto call the shots

Why everyone hates Morbius so much, I will never know. I mean what else were you expecting? It is very loyal to the comics, and did a lot of very interesting things, are you sure you’re not just being too picky about it? I’ve seen a lot of other things and other so-called “acclaimed“ movies that bothered me way more than Morbius to be honest……
