I really had wished Russell would have reprised his Snake Plissken role with Carpenter directing once agian. This could have easily happened in the 2000s decades.

I mean, I would have loved for Russell to do it one last time but not Carpenter. By the time be did Escape from L.A. he had definitely lost his touch, let alone post Ghost of mars and pre-The ward haha. It would have been a total disaster.
But yeah, had someone else with a passion directed it, with Carpenter as producer doing the soundtrack, now THAT I would have been behind!

I hope Kurt will decide to take the Disney CEO gig and bring his career full circle by returning the kingdom to its former glory for Walt and for fans in general.

There are always these certain directors and actors that we want to see reunite again.

I waited decades to see Harvey Keitel work with Scorsese again. He finally did (briefly) in "The Irishman". He was Scorsese's original leading man, even before De Niro and long before DiCaprio. Now, I'd love to see Keitel in one last Tarantino role.

For Kurt, they rightly covered his John Carpenter films and his Tarantino films here. I'd love to see him reunite with both. But moreso with Carpenter, just one last time.

But, Carpenter seems to have lost all interest. (Although I believe that it's not entirely his own fault; he simply tired of having to fight to get funding. Many directors, Scorsese, Cronenberg, have had to fight tooth and nail to get funding anymore, and Carpenter just has a 'f*** it' attitude, "If they don't want me anymore, nevermind." He had several projects he had wanted to do at one time, but then gave up).

Because Kurt Russell made those five seconds into gold.

He makes everything into gold. He (and his son) were easily the best part of Monarch - and it's not easy to outshine Godzilla

Yes. I'd worried about it with him and Scorsese, but then it happened. Keitel has said just recently that he'd love to work with Quentin, again. I hope Quentin gives him at least a cameo or something in "The Movie Critic".

Think it would be cool if he and Tarantino did a prequel to Death Proof.
