Default 'The Pacific' - question about the Blu-ray packaging

I'm thinking of buying the US Blu-ray edition of 'The Pacific' that was reissued in June 2020 (i.e. not the original tin box). However I've read one review mentioning that it comes in a DVD-type case rather then a Blu-ray case. If this is true, it would be too high to fit on my Blu-ray disc shelving.

So can someone please confirm the height of the case for this release? I would really appreciate any information!

I've seen it in a regular Blu-Ray multi-disc case and in a combo pack with BoB. There are regular DVD case reissues of both minis, so that might be what you were reading about.

It's Blu-ray height. Since you live in the UK:

I saw the repackaged set in HMV on Tuesday and it’s a single Blu-ray case size package with slipbox.

Ocean H - many thanks for the confirmation of the height on the US reissue and for those two YouTube links, which are very helpful.

Actually I already have the UK Blu-ray reissue of Band Of Brothers in a very nice compact set where Discs 2 - 5 are housed on two double-sided hinged trays, so the set thickness is no more than a standard UK case. A friend of mine has the UK Blu-ray reissue of The Pacific, but strangely this comes in a much thicker "digipack" set opening out to a long strip with each disc housed separately rather than having the pairs of overlapping discs in the combined set shown on YouTube.

So I've ordered the US set, which hopefully will be thinner than the UK one. Thanks again for the info.

Thanks for the info - as I mentioned in my post above, I've seen that UK set, but it's unnecessarily thick because the discs have been housed separately instead of overlapping in pairs. Shelf space is always an issue for me, so I'm hoping the US set will be thinner.
