Region free player in Europe - Blu-ray Forum

I know, 4K UHD Blu-rays are region free, but normal Blu-rays and DVD aren't.
I'd like to buy a region free player because I own a few discs of the North American region I'd like to watch, especially a concert Blu-ray of a band I really dig which doesn't exist for the B region.
Do I have to import a player from the US or Canada? Which model would you recommend me and what do I have to take care of to make it work here properly?

Hi Ophone. Since the introduction of DVD in the late 90's I have purchased 2 DVD region-free Players (Pioneer and Denon) 1 region-free Blu-ray player (Pioneer) and 1 region-free UHD-Blu-ray player (Sony UBP-X800M2) from Stegen Electronics that has its home in the Netherlands. Stegen Electronics now only sells 5 region-free players, all Sony. Check out Stegen.com for full details. I don't know what postage costs for dispatch to Luxmbourg Stegen charges. I live in the Netherlands; in my memory I paid € 50. Good luck! Kind regards, Frans Bus.

Stegen does worldwide shipping, that's nice. It shouldn't be too expensive to another Benelux country.

Just ordered one of the two 4K UHD players. I paid only €10.53 for shipping with the Dutch post.

I just checked my invoice from Stegen (May 2020) and noticed that my shipping info was wrong. I paid € 479 for the player. Free shipping. Sorry about that. Enjoy your player!

The player arrived today. I tested it immediately, as intended it works with discs from different regions.

In Denmark there is Laserdisken, they modify Panasonic DP-UB450 to play all regions of DVD and Blu-ray.

Out of curiosity, do you know if they ship players within the EU or to other Nordic countries?
