Looks rough. Like it's trying too hard.

But it's a Neil Marshall film so I at least have to see it.

Honestly this is one creative partnership that needs to end. Kirk is really hampering his output.

Looks generic as ****. & dear lord, that voice over...

Also, isn't about 20 years too late to be doing Guy Ritchie knock-offs?

I've said it before & I'll say it again, it's a tragic the once promising Marshall hitched his wagon to one of the least talented 'actresses' on the planet. She's awful. I see she gets a co-writing credit too, which can only be another bad sign.

Frankly, the only thing of interest here is the Sean Pertwee cameo.

Has Neil Marshall done any movies that were as good as The Descent and Dog Soldiers? Sad the movie The Descent II was crap and took so long to make a sequel. He really needs to go back to the format of The Descent and give us that claustrophobic horror movie with good character stories.

His follow up films that he explored more subgenres with Doomsday and Centurion, which are not up to the same level as his first two but still great films.
Hellboy was his attempt at a paycheck while possibly getting his way. He didn't get his way.

Now he's in a relationship with someone that he's making films with who lacks any charisma and talent. I think he needs to sideline her to a smaller role.

I saw it last night, Yes its a bit old fashioned, but fun and very watchable in it's own predictable way. Charlotte Kirk is very easy on the eye ;-)

Finally got round to seeing this yesterday. As the trailer suggested, it's an absolute stinker.

I was wrong. It's not a Guy Ritchie knock-off. It's a Nick Love knock-off. Mainly those terrible Cockney Hard Man 'thrillers' he used to make in the early 2000s with Danny Dyer, only here we have Kirk in the Dyer role, right down to (badly) copying his cockney accent.

Kirk is her usual awful self, often looking like a man in drag as she ineptly punches & swears her way through TWO HOURS of (supposed) romance & revenge. The terrible & incoherent script (by Kirk & Marshall) is so full of F- & C-bombs it feels like it was written by a 12-year old who's just discovered swearing, & that voice over is like nails on a chalkboard.

Boring action scenes with cheapo cgi muzzle flashes & bullet ricochets abound, & the supporting cast aren't much better than Kirk in the acting stakes. Even the usually reliable Sean Pertwee looks bored & spends most of the film with a look on his face that says "This is the last favour I'm doing for Marshall".

The ending did make me laugh out loud though. I don't think it was supposed to, but I'll give it that.

I watched it so you don't have to. Avoid Avoid Avoid.
