Unless their artwork is wrong, the disc says Original Mini-Series, and shows 4 parts, so that lines up with the 1994 version. The newer one was a 3-disc release.

Still prefer this version over the new one. Coincidence or not, been reading the book, have about 400 pages left. Artwork on the steelbook is well done, be picking this up.

Technically that is true. Remember, this isn’t a movie. It is a miniseries, which is technically a tv series… just because there isn’t a “second season” doesn’t invalidate the label.

That said… yeah, it’s silly. But it’s not like an error or oversight.
