Wonder if it will be a disc or a download code in a box like the Switch version.

That is cool MS is willing to put their major property onto PS5's console too. I wish they would do that for some other games too. Starfield is still exclusively with XBox SX, but having played it on PC, I don't mind as it's not of of Bethesda's best.
Minecraft, I played the PS4 version years ago. A creative game, which is good. Will be interesting to see how the graphics have developed over the years. In the final game case, usually they'll put a notice on the cover saying, "Digital download required to play" if it's a disc requiring internet, or "Digital code only, no disc". I guess you get a nice case in that situation, rather than no collectible at all. Hopefully they offer it on disc for the Minecraft fans on PS5. |

I'd really like Gears of War games on PS though. Forza Horizon, finally played part 4 on PC and it runs great. They really optimized that one well for lower end PCs too. Haven't tried 5 yet. |

I’m curious to see how the PS5 version of Minecraft stacks up, especially in terms of how good it looks on a 4K screen. I still have my old PS4 Minecraft disc somewhere, and it was fun, but I mostly play Minecraft on my laptop during breaks now since it’s easier to jump in and out of games. Honestly, I’m more into the creative side, building random stuff, testing contraptions, or just messing around with redstone.
When I don’t feel like booting up a full install, I’ve been going through some Minecraft-style games that run right in the browser. I found a bunch of decent ones through https://sites.google.com/site/unblockedgamesportal/ for unblocked games, which is actually great when you just want something chill on the side without setting up mods or save files. Played the PS5 demo trial of Minecraft (they gave me 30 minutes) but I only needed 10 minutes to know it wasn't for me. It's a clever game, but the block graphics and platform aren't immersive IMO, compared to Dragon Quest Builders 1 and 2. Those games look more fun and are more fun IMO, plus they let you see the player characters. That adds a lot more to the game IMO. Like controlling a miniature character in a way with 3rd person view.
1st person, it's just a camera view. Saw the Minecraft Movie 3D. It was entertaining in a Napoleon Dynamite movie style. Now if Minecraft had that kind of more realistic style to the graphics, and playable characters in 3rd person, I'd be interested. |
