United Kingdom Deep Blue Sea (Limited Edition) 4K UHD (Arrow)

Pre-order: Amazon.co.uk
Release date: 17th March, 2025

Quote:
THE ULTIMATE PREDATOR JUST GOT SMARTER.

From Renny Harlin, maximalist director of Die Hard II, Cliffhanger and The Long Kiss Goodnight, comes Deep Blue Sea, a shark-infested action-thriller where everyone is on the menu.

At an isolated research facility in the middle of the ocean, a team of scientists, led by Susan McAlester (Saffron Burrows), are working on a cure for Alzheimer’s by genetically altering the brains of sharks. When a shark escapes and attacks a pleasure boat, the company sponsoring the research threatens to pull its funding and sends corporate executive Russell Franklin (Samuel L. Jackson) to investigate. McAlester has just 48 hours to prove the value of her work, but her experiments have made the sharks smarter. No longer happy to be injected, prodded, and caged, they begin to turn the tables. As a freak storm causes chaos on the surface, making it impossible to leave, the facility is flooded and the scientists must fight to survive against the rising water and the hungry sharks that now swim freely through the corridors.

Embracing action, horror and suspense with a knowing sense of humour and pushing them all as far as they can go, Deep Blue Sea is an adrenaline rush of pure entertainment presented in a brand new 4K restoration approved by director Renny Harlin. Come on in, the water’s great!

Kind of comical that ARROW stuck the title over Saffron Burrows cleavage, I remember her joking about the poster when it was released.

wow never thought get this in 4k - one of the better action films from late 90s - long kiss goodnight was better though and i have a feeling that will come next as its also owned by warner now i think ? would love to see outbreak or contact next too seeing as arrow are mining 90s warner titles - would love to see some more open matte alternate versions too (like the cell which is out next month) the long kiss goodnight is masked so badly on home video releases

I ordered one from Amazon on January 22 and it has not shipped or been in stock after the release date so something could be going on with the UK release.

Should have been shipped over a week ago. My Amazon UK pre-order will be canceled and I will have to order the US release. Which is cheaper and also with free shipping anyways. Less than 300 had ordered before I did. The US release has sold over 1000 on Amazon and is still in stock.. Unreliable. I thought Arrow and Amazon UK had sorted things out.

So I did not cancel my Amazon UK order just in case my US order gets damaged or something. And today I got an email from Amazon UK telling my new estimated delivery is 12 June - 15 October! Order placed 22 January.. It took One day for my Amazon US copy to be shipped. Should be here in less than two weeks. I don't understand how I can order something two months before release and not even get it.

Sounds like there have been issues with UK stock for certain vendors (HMV and Amazon both had issues with Lifeforce) so I would suggest in future going with somewhere like Rarewaves.
