Should it be adapted into a movie? Everyone finds the story weird, but well liked at the same time. You also have the potential for Mamoa to lead this time, which adds some draw.

Since it is the 4th of Herbert's novels, if it was used at all it would presumably be used as the basis for Dune 4, for which there's already a thread:

No. You are confusing the two. Dune 4 would be based on Children of Dune. If God Emperor of Dune were to be adapted, it would be Dune 5. UNLESS they split Children of Dune into two parts as well. It is a longer story than Messiah after all.

Ok, so if the 4th movie in the series is an adaptation of Children of Dune, then whatever comes after could be based on God Emperor of Dune.

And that should be ready by around 2040, give or take
