A bit gutted it's being given the Lionsgate Limited treatment as opposed to being licensed to another label (sorry, Cliff, but I'm stinky-british and LL don't ship to us overseas peasants). That said... I love this film, so I may have no choice but to pay extortionate fees acquiring it from an eBay seller. Eeeeek!

I'm probably asking too much, but I would absolutely love to see a director's cut surface on home video. Adrian Lyne belongs in jail for losing his nerve and cutting stuff in response to test screenings. The additional footage is fantastic.

Also, lol at that art...

Good! This is an American film! Keep your stinky British hands off of it!

Im worse than a stinky Brit as Im an American expat in Spain (ew) but I can vouch for MyUS.com as a forwarding service. You will read a lot of bad shit online but I've done several orders from them (mainly from LL, Walmart and Criterion sales) and I would say the average shipping + tax costs is around $12.50 to $15 per movie depending on the size of the order (two movies around $30 to ship, 5 to 6 comes to around $70). Thats about on par with Amazon US after fees. Nothing is as transparent as what should be exactly 21% VAT plus shipping, but not bad overall. A LL limited release would then be $50ish in total, currently 37GBP/43€, plus a code you can resell to offset the cost. In all not too much of a premium based on EU or UK steelbooks which are 30€/GBP at the cheapest to 35€/GBP on the higher end. Just be sure to turn off their settings like "Enhanced Liability Protection" as they will automatically forward you the package often during the EU/UK nighttime when it arrives to their Florida office.

Yeah, it's a shame that these are 'locked away' so to speak, because the list of stuff i'd like to buy is piling up fast. Buh' I just can'nee justify the cost associated with importing, no matter how many times Sharon Stone uncrosses her legs.

Hopefully one day all these fantastic titles get standard releases, but at this point, i'm resigned to missing out on them.

Last night, I legitimately pictured it being a Lionsgate Limited release. Finally!!
This is the one I’ve always wanted from Lionsgate Limited!!
This & Freaked 4K (1993) from Umbrella has completed the year for me.

I've always been curious about this movie, but never bothered checking it out because it always felt a remaster was imminent. Only took like 15 years.

Can we get Stargate next?

I have the Umbrella Daybreakers preordered but will still grab the LL edition. Love the film. Jacob’s Ladder is day one.

It's truly one of the most profound movies ever made. When you finally realize what's actually been going on the whole movie WOW. Somehow uplifting and yet heartbreaking at the same time.

One of those gems that came off way better than it actually is because I watched it alone at 3 am.

This flick should ALWAYS be watched after midnight, on a dark, chilly, rainy night, while you're totally alone. It's brilliant and effective.

They're really going to gatekeep the masterpiece that is Jacob's Ladder behind their ugly online steelbooks?

ELATED we're finally getting a remaster!! However... That art is so ugly. Not using the original iconic art is a tragedy!
Will wait for impending StudioCanal release of the same disc.

OMG they actually listened to all our incessant, pitiful whining. Hells yes! Fan-frickin'-tastic news. I was flat-out shamelessly begging for this uhd. We've waited since 2016 for this. Another top-ten title on my uhd wants list! I'll reward LL instantly with my wallet for stepping out and paying attention to what we've asked for. Love this flick.

Agreed, that teased art is real horrorshow. Is that Tim Robbins or Harry Potter? Lionsgate, please fix this before it's too late. OG art, do it now, oh God please. If that's the final art on the steel, I'll simply polish it the fook down to a nice glimmery 100% silver-matte finish with a piece of 1500 grit wet/dry paper, clearcoat it, and just march on

Now back to our show. Lionsgate, please crush this hard, with beefy og audio, and stunning pq with solid compression. You can do this!
