DP John Mathieson harnessed Kodak 35mm film to bring a sense of nostalgic adventure to 'Jurassic World Rebirth'

What's the point of having a 7 disc set when they just released both sets of steelbooks a few weeks ago other than a money grab and hoping that people will buy this set along with the others.

Now I'm glad I didn't open my new JP trilogy steel, but watch the 7 disc set not include the updated discs for whatever reason.

I think this is the best Jurassic since the original. Can’t wait for the disc release

Just saw this in the theater ( my first movie is 5 years since Covid) and liked it a lot. Will be getting the 4K to add to the collection

They’re giving out InGen badges & lanyards at AMC to everyone who watches it in Dolby Cinema today… always love the dumb swag from theatres!

It looks like the printer forgot to hide the safe area design guides when sending these into production (the dotted lines are not part of the design).

I thought this was the worst one since Jurassic Park III. I know some people like that one, at least more than the World movies, so your mileage may vary. But I’m continually impressed (in a bad way) how nobody can seem to recapture the story, character, or suspense Spielberg was able to accomplish in the original film. I kept wondering why the dinosaurs feel so real in a movie from 1993 and look like digital nothing in all the movies 20-30 years later

Anyway, it’s got a few inspired moments occasionally, but this whole movie feels like it was made without much thought other than to pump out another one to keep the brand going.

My wife and I really enjoyed it. Our company did as well. I found Dominion to be a complete and utter mess, and FK was so bleak, that even though I enjoyed it, it isn't rewatchable to me like the others. I'm not sure where I'd rank it since the only true classic in the series to me is the original, but I can say it is equally as fun to watch as TLW, 3, and JW.

I dont think movies will impress and wow me like they did when I was 11 ish and seeing JP .

It was unlike anything i had ever seen. Same with a movie like Independence day. Being in my mid 40s now movies are mostly dull and unimpressive with some exceptions of course. I wonder if my kid will have movie experiences that wow him like I did when I was 11

This is the exact feeling I came away with today as the credits rolled on this new Jurassic flick. It was "fine". But I just don't think I'm capable of fully enjoying a modern CGI action flick. I'm just not wired that way; it's all so derivative of everything that came before. The action scenes were solid enough, I guess; Edwards is certainly a talented director whose work I've enjoyed in the past... but to what end? Is it really any more entertaining to watch these dinosaur attacks for the first time than to re-watch the dinosaur attacks in JP1 for the thirtieth time? I really don't know. I have become comfortably numb.

My favorite part was
[Show spoiler]the moment of wonder when the classic John Williams music was allowed to take over; that crescendo genuinely filled my heart with warmth and nostalgia. John Williams rulez.

I’m sure he will. Me and my dad had a great time going to see some new movies, as well as his showing me the old movies he loved from the 70s/80s.

I think it’s still possible to be wowed by movies, but it’ll never be the same as when you’re a kid. Also, hopefully you’re not feeling this way because you didn’t like the latest mediocre old franchise movie or superhero film. You’re right to feel a little underwhelmed with most of those coming out lately, IMO.

I thought this was fine. Handsomely shot with some decent character work. But ultimately there's this prevailing sense of been there, done that. There's nothing really remarkable about it.
