Is the steelbook the only way to get the movie on 4k? I hate how Disney/Sony is taking advantage of 4k buyers and collectors.

The Stitch steelbook gets released 5 weeks from now but the preorder still isn't up yet? So what's the hold up? Superman steelbook preorder went live on Amazon on the weekend that movie was released in comparison. lol

I skipped Moana 2 and Mufasa steelbooks, but plan to get Stitch on 4k because I liked this movie way more. Stitch was done perfectly and they did great job finding the right little girl to play Lilo.

This movie started out as a D+ release but Disney upgraded it to theatrical. Crazy how much money they could have lost out on. Great thing for Stitch fans is a theater release meant we can buy it on disc. I don't think we are ever getting stuff like the Lady and the Tramp, Pinocchio, and the Peter Pan remake released on home video. I prefer owning movies I like over them just being exclusively on a streaming, which can be taken away at any time.

This is my first post here, but I have been reading these forum for years. Looking forward to commenting more in the future.

It’s insane this was going to be a Disney+ original that would not have made them any actual money nor would have made them any money on physical media since they don’t release their originals. And the movie theatrical run alone has already done over A BILLION DOLLARS (and still going) and that’s not even including yeah what they will make on physical media and digital. I can’t believe they almost botched this.

L&S steelbook looks much better in person, and I'm glad both discs will have art on them and not just the 4k.

Probably not. Disney Steelbook rarely drops that low.

I dont think any of the live action releases in the last two years dropped that low, Little Mermaid, Dial of Destiny, Mufasa, Snow white etc.. other than the best buy in store clearance..

They're talking about non-US versions of Disney steels and evading import taxes and fees.
