I am almost finished with this and new to get more wire for my rear right but does the placement seem okay I don't have much room to work with and the Sub has a really short power cable. Also what can I do with the speaker wires going across the floor in the last two pics?

If you have no choice but to run the speaker on the ground, I'd switch to flat wire, at least 16 gauge assuming it's no more than a 25' speaker run and the typical 8 ohm, and run them under a rug where they cross the floor.
For the last pic by the doorway, run them over/around the doorway along the door frame, and you can also use wire covers/concealers to clean it up. If you absolutely must run them on the floor, then I'd go with the flat wire as well and put them under a carpet runner since it's a narrow pathway. They do make cable covers that you can also run across the floor, but when you're walking back from the kitchen with your snacks and drink(s) in hand to plop down for movie night and trip over it, it tends to put a damper on things. Purists might tell you otherwise about running speaker cable under a rug, but if you don't have much choice and must make compromises, well then you make compromises. |
