Default Yahoo sued for spurning Microsoft

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5j...FjxngD8UVK7J80

Quote:
According to the lawsuit, Yahoo's board is pursuing "value-destructive" third-party deals in an effort to fight off Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft, which on Feb. 1 announced a takeover bid of $31 per share in cash and stock, a 62 percent premium over Yahoo's previous day's closing price.
Alllrighty then! This plot just keeps getting better and better.

Isn't this the company that the dudsters said was the one going to win the

fomrat war? Isn't it funny how the BDA was a cartel and wanted to take over

the world. But since MS backed hdead dvd they were saints. Unreal.

Did you even bother reading the linked article, or do you just have a script to run whenever the word Microsoft is mentioned?

I'm not surprised at the lawsuit one bit, the offer was a fair bit above the going stock rate and these stockholders would have made a pretty penny. These plaintiffs happen to represent pension funds which would have benefited considerably from the exchange.

Bah, News Corp will win this battle.

No doubt about it, Yahoo don't want to be owned by MS, anyone who is worth a damn to the company will probably leave if there is a proxy takeover.

If you think he's so wrong can you prove it?

The figure I heard bandied about that they really wanted was $40 a share and not $31. These days, who can blame someone for trying to bleed MS for all their worth? As it is, and this was in all the press releases: MS was going to have to BORROW money to even try and make this move, so we'll just see what happens if anything.
