I hope this is the right section to post this.
I just wondered what people are doing now that most postal systems worldwide have stopped or are stopping shipment of all packages to the US this week, in advance of the end of the "de minimis" exemption in a few days. There's no way for US buyers to order from any overseas websites at the moment - Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, etc. I also wonder how it will impact businesses like Diabolik, which depends on regular shipments from the UK, Australia and other countries, which they then send on to US customers who have already paid them. I already have a few titles prebought from Diabolik that don't come out until September. |

To be clear, letters and packages with low-value personal gifts are still exempt. I should have made that clear, for anyone who hasn't been following the news coverage.
Commercial packages are what most of the postal services worldwide are halting shipment to the US of. They used to be exempt up to a value of $800. |

Everything about the entire situation is frighteningly ridiculous. I’m starting to come around to the fact that I am probably going to need the new TSA-approved flight cases I’ve been purchasing for my electric guitar collection much, much sooner than I expected.
