Nickelodeon Canada is shutting down September 1 2025 and USA channel will follow in a month or two. What TV-14 or PG Sitcoms should be on bluray from Teen Nick or Nickelodeon? Cartoon Network might be bankrupt soon too, because the headquarters is closed. I don't know if the shows will be Paramount+ first and then dumped latter on Tubi and Youtube for free access. I was a kid in the 1990s and thought Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network was worth my time, but It's 28 years later and yeah I remember Dragon Ball Kai aired on Nickelodeon.

Good screw them they hired too many Creeps, and unlike a lot of people I cannot look at a lot of their live action shows the same way ever again. Considering what has happened to some of these child stars these days I wouldn't support any Blu-Rays of these shows. Now that we know what happened behind the scenes of some of these shows, and trust me it's screwed up why would I want the Creeps that were involved on them to get more attention, and money. Leave these shows behind its for the best.
These shows essentially groomed these child stars, and it makes me sick. I'd rather get Nickelodeon cartoons on Blu-Ray instead. Many people still idolize the stars in these shows, and all I can say is stop supporting them. It is all Nickelodeons fault for allowing these Creeps such as Dan Schneider to be allowed to work on these shows for so long. I mean look at Amanda Bynes now she looks awful, and does a lot of drugs too yet somehow people still want to watch the shows she started on with Dan the awful creep Schneider. Good riddance these shows aren't nostalgic anymore they don't feel the same anymore, and now feel really weird to watch now. Especially those Dan Schneider ones ugh Yuck. I admit I'm confused. I saw 1990s - 2003 Nickelodeon full of Hey Arnold, Doug, rugrats, Ahh Real Monsters, the first three seasons of Spongebob, Rocko's Modern Life, Chrisas Explain it All, Secret World of Alex Mack, Adventures of Pete and Pete, Afraid of the Dark. I didn't realize that Nickelodeon became too woke in 2010s. I was busy watching Toonami on Cartoon Network or DVDs and blurays.

why can't anyone watch shows for the actual imdb score or letterbox d score and not behind the scenes like the 1990s era? 1990 Videogame magazines like Nintendo Power or Sega Power or Dreamcast magazine.

I tried rewatching some of these shows, and could only feel dirty, and bad. These shows have really not aged well whatsoever not to mention Dan Schneider brought an actual pedophile on these shows to work with the actors. Sorry man I'll stick with Nick Toons, and Nickelodeon cartoons over the live action stuff any day of the week. How this creep was allowed to work for Nickelodeon till 2018 makes absolutely no sense at all. |

First, nice to give very drowsy me a pulmonary when I'm about to fall asleep. Thanks for giving me a thirty-minute spike I didn't need.
Second, Watershipdownisgood hit every single point. I can't say it better myself. Third, while I do love a lot of their shows, and was a diehard fan of DS and his content, it's weird to watch Drake And Josh, iCarly, Ned's Declassified, and his other shows given what I now know. And Jeanette McCurdy, I just want to give her a hug. I fully get the pain she went through and goes through. Much like Sam was the wisecracking tough guy on iCarly and Sam And Cat, and McCurdy was the hurt and broken person she is in real life, I relate to that fully. So it's going to be hard to see Sam goofing off on iCarly knowing she was facing hell from her boss and her own family. - All that being said, my Nick wishlist is: 1. First five seasons of Spongebob, original broadcast versions, with all the special features from the individual seasons, the various several episodes tapes and discs, and the various 100 episodes sets (the features on those sets are solid, even if everything after S5 was a complete mess) 2. Old Nicktoons. Too many to list. Invader Zim, Danny Phantom, The Fairly Odd Parents, Jimmy Neutron, there's tons. 3. *sigh* A lot of the live action stuff, including the aforementioned Schneider projects 4. Are You Afraid Of The Dark. I absolutely love this show. I've seen it on tapes and online, and I would love to have it on Blu-ray. I think the complete series is on burners, but that just ain't good enough for me. 5. You Can't Do That On Television. For anyone who wants a real head-spinning experience, look up the banned episode "Adoption". You're probably thinking "There's no way it could be that bad." By the time I was done reading it I thought "Jeez, this was actually thought of? This was actually made? They actually aired this?" It's more of a South Park episode from hell, but it was a real episode of a kids' show that's supposed to be funny. I don't necessarily know if it's "bad" so much as "surreal" in a nauseating sort of way. 6. Eureeka's Castle. Driven mainly by my love of R. L. Stine and Goosebumps. (Side note, "Welcome To Camp Nightmare" 1 and 2 are the best Goosebumps episodes I've ever seen. It's up there with the best of the original Twilight Zone series.) Allegedly this is mostly lost, but as it was shot on tape many years after wiping was abandoned, this is hard to believe. 7. Pinwheel. This is a show where, as hard as it is to believe, there's not much info on. (Try looking it up. A lot of the info is either circular or repetitive, and it never really goes into the fate of the show, the masters, the details of the episodes, and more. It's a shame, because without Pinwheel there would literally be no Nickelodeon. ...just to name a few. |

I have heard that the original film negatives for all the 90s Nicktoons were discarded when Nick moved their HQ many years ago. I'd also assume most if not all the 90s Nick live action shows were shot on tape (I know for certain all of Disney's were) so those would be troublesome too. That basically just leaves you with 00s shows that were done with HD digital cameras/digital cartoons made in HD (which they started with Drake & Josh in 2003 for live action and the second season of TUFF Puppy in 2011 for 2D animation). This means the vast majority of the Nick catalog is trapped in SD hell as they were really late to the whole HD game.

I wouldn't mind having these shows on blu-ray, but they've had ample opportunity to release them. If they haven't done so already, they likely never will, whether due to missing elements, behind the scenes happenings, or just not seeing the profit in it. All this stuff is available on Paramount+ and some of it is incomplete on even DVD. Those two will likely be the only ways the material will be available for repeat viewing.

Just give me the old 90s cartoons, a few 2000s cartoons not Fairly Oddparents, and Hey Arnold leave the live action stuff behind I don't care about the live action shows whatsoever. I'm so sick, and tired of people being nostalgic for these live action shows no offense, but these shows messed up some of the kid actors lives just look at Amanda Bynes, Miranda Cosgrove, and Jeanette McCurdy they are not the same people anymore with one of them ending up being arrested multiple times, and getting addicted to drugs. Sorry Shane nope nobody needs to be reminded of those shows again give it a rest. Do you really want Creeps like Dan Schneider to get a lot more attention again I don't think so. I think you're completely blinded by nostalgia, and need to realize you don't need these titles whatsoever.
Just let these shows go as unlike you, and a few others on here I'm not blinded by nostalgia with these shows at all. |

The best way I can describe DS's stuff now is "complicated relationship". On one hand, these are shows that defined my childhood. The first time I watched Nick as a kid, D&J, Zoey 101, and Ned's Declassified were all on, in addition to several other live action shows, several Nicktoons, and a rather stacked Nick At Nite lineup (including, ironically due to this conversation, The Cosby Show, another program I have a complicated relationship with). So this is stuff I've seen since six-ish years old and loved. Now take those shows I loved then and now it comes out that the creator was a complete scumbag, employed another complete scumbag (I don't think he just accidentally hired a pedo, and I think the guy got fired because "aw, shit, you got caught, that's sad, now I have to can you"), and tortured the hell out of several stars I loved. Drake Bell then furthers the damage, and he himself did some pretty messed up stuff with an underage girl. Abuse may be an explanation, but it's by no means an excuse. The DS shows and Cosby aren't the only ones like this. I grew up with That '70s Show too. Danny Masterson raped at least three women. Kevin Spacey is an absolute creep. Yet he's one of the best actors who ever lived, and made some amazing movies, including The Ref and The Usual Suspects, both of which ring much differently now. He also made American Beauty, which might be the single worst-aged movie ever made. Pulp Fiction is one of my all-time favorite movies, and in my opinion one of the best ever made. How do you think Uma Thurman got the role of Mia? Kill Bill is another one of my favorites. Harvey tried to move on her again, and was stopped by Tarantino. He's one of my favorite directors. He knew everything. Michael Jackson is one of my favorite music performers. And yet there's irrefutable proof that he molested children. Like I said, there's a complicated relationship. You have this piece of media you've loved since childhood, and then it radically mutates before your eyes, and you're forced to reckon this nice, harmless, innocent thing that you love with the dark, ugly, awful reality behind its existence. I fully get where you're coming from WDIG, and I think a good number of people would agree with you that DS's work and other things both mentioned here and not are damaged beyond repair. But just because they're not for me (and likely a good number of others), I think there's very few of us who just want to wear our rose-colored glasses and pretend every horrible moment of the productions didn't happen. |

Kinda weird to look down on people who like things made by scummy people. If I thought the same thing, Chinatown wouldn't be my favorite film of all time.

Yes I believe liking these shows these days is weird, and odd in the modern day. As the people involved in these shows were young teens, and middle schoolers human beings just like us that were preyed upon by Creeps like Peck, and Schneider. Also the people that were involved in these shows the actors that is have been pretty outspoken towards their time on these shows it messed them up. I'm going to say this because it just isn't normal, and just plain strange. That's the difference between rewatching cartoons, and live action kids shows. Also because you recognize the voices, but not the people behind the voices. With live action kids shows the people involved are right in front of you, and behind the scenes.
I'm done arguing about it |

Danny Masterson sounds evil. Drake Bell sounds like Michael Jackson. Kevin Spacey went to court and proven innocent.
