bdp1000 pillarboxing DVD - Blu-ray Forum

Is there a way to get the samsung bdp1000 to not pillarbox 4:3 dvd's? I have the latest firmware updated and everything but it still pillarboxes DVD, but not BD.

That's a known glitch that Samsung hasn't fixed yet, Brian. And since they've discontinued it, probably never.

no worries, 4:3 sd dvd content represents like .001% of content I watch in it. Just wondering.

Me thinks there should be more zoom options on players and displays.
