Is there any news of Disney wanting to put some of those on BD? I know Disney supports BD. Maybe time within the next year we could see one? I don't know about some of you anime fans, but Nausicaa or Mononoke would be awesome

That just would make me cry with joy.

I'd have to believe it would happen eventually, but for some reason, I feel "post format war" status on something like these.

Believe me: Day and date, if I see these on BD, I don't care what they cost. I'd even go over the top and import these if I had to.

My "Fear" Though is that we'd get Spirited Away first. While its a good movie, in my opinion its probably lowest on the totem pole for movies that he has put out. I'm sure all of the other releases had they been out now instead of 10-20 years ago and had the same exposure could of had a chance at a record for animated movie awards.

They should put Hauru No Ugoku Shirou (Howl's Moving Castle) on Blu-ray

No news in either Japan or the US regarding it, but it's Buena Vista for both so it's a possibility at some point. Potentially the one that was out earlier in the year, the one done by Miyazaki's son, could hit next in Japan (and continue trend of subtitles via DVD) but there isn't anything happening.

Howl's is most likely however; it looked gorgeous when StarzHD was running it a couple of months ago.

Disney has no idea what to do with their anime properties, and I fear they'll screw it up somehow.

The fact that they closed down their 2D animation studio when anime rules the roost attests to their cluelessness.

As much as I lament how Disney is with their anime in terms of marketing, they have done the home video versions right. From correcting their original intent to not provide Mononoke with subtitles to their no-changes clause in the contract, the end result on DVD has been a series of very great looking releases with top of the line English language adaptations. Shows that I can actually watch with my kids yet still have it unaltered and bilingual. For that alone, they get my utmost respect with the anime.

The earlier ghibli titles are released on BD the better.
I bought every new Ghibli on DVD since Princess Mononoke was released...I'd like to buy every single Ghibli feature, because almost every single one is a masterpiece.

Since the older movies are available on DVD in europe, the temptation is huge. I'd rather buy all on BD...but I just can't resist much longer...please Buena Vista make haste, give me at least a heads up!

So this is it, the deadest thread on the Anime forum, with no new posts since 2006. Might as well post something here....

Alright, here are some of my favorite Death Grips tracks:

More Than The Fairy (with Les Claypool)

Birds (off Government Plates)

You Might Think He Loves You(....) (also off Government Plates)

Hustle Bones (from The Money Store)

Giving Bad People Good Ideas (off Bottomless Pit)

Punk Weight (also off Money Store)

No Love (off No Love Deep Web)

(Honorable Mention goes to "Beware" off Exmilitary. The Manson sample was 10/10)
