American Gangster on Blu-Ray?? - Blu-ray Forum

Will American gangster be coming to blu-ray does anyone know??

(I live in the UK by the way) and when I went into virgin and searched on play.com they only have releases for DVD and HD DVD wich kinda sucks because we all know the blu way is the only way

Should I be surprised that EVERYTIME I see a post asking if/when a title on HD-DVD or one of the formerly red studios will be available on Blu-ray, the author's post count is in the single digits?

To directly answer your question mate.. there's no official announcement as yet but with HD-DVD going the way of the dodo then it does'nt leave them much other choice unless they want to start releasing in VHS again..

Oh.. and .. welcome to the forum..

If your wondering why the negative reaction from the off.. we've had this thread maybe 15 times already...

Didn't care for the movie??? I thought it was pretty good..... didn't blow me away on PQ on HD DVD (via netflix, so hold off on the hate there fellas) but the story was pretty good.... the movie "Blow" will probably look AMAZING in HD though.... so I eagerly await it.....

I think directors who focus on lighting etc. on the set benefit the most from the HD movement.

Yea Beta Man, It was ok. But it was disappointing being a gangster movie.

This thread makes me want to pull up my Glitter thread I did as a joke late last night because 1 person kept annoying us by making What about The Matrix? and What about LotRs? So I did the Glitter thread to take our minds off the Matrix and LotR questions all the time. Check it out. You might get a chuckle out of it.
