Red face PS3 help

I want to get a ps3...only ones left are 40 gigs at best buy

But i see some of the motorstorm bundles 80 gig on amazon.com new but from stores i never heard of...

Is it safe to get one of those or better to go with the one at best buy

I would rather get the 80
But i would want the service plan or whatever like best buy gives

So which is the best way to go
i have never bought anything from online other than blu rays

If i have problems with my stuff i want to be able to get it fixed or a new one thats why im wondering about going thru amazon or just going to best buy...but only 49 gigs left....HELP

ps..do the 80 gigs with motorstorm have the shiny chrome trimming?

I dont think amazon itself is selling the 80 gigs...i think its like some weird named stores selling them now tho..But if the warranty and the places are cool you say i might just give them a try...I want to play uncharted lol

I'd go with BB, but you shold be OK with those online sites. I would rather have the eass of driving 10mins to the store if need be. Get the 40gig 400$ & upgrade it with a 120gig HDD for less than 80$ unless your going for the backwards compatibility??? ^^^ or...

Judging from the earlier thread by OP, I'd say all he really wants is the chrome.

Extended warranties are a scam in the long-term. The only way I can suggest getting one is if it's 10% or less than the purchase price of the item AND you cannot afford a critical piece of equipment dying. Honestly, my anecdoal opinion is that if a system is going to randomly die it's going to die in the first year and be under manufacturer warranty.

As an added layer of protection, I highly suggest buying the system on your credit card. A lot of CCs offer overlapping and additional warranty/replacement protection.

Yes for the most part extended warranties are a huge waste especially regarding the reliability of sony game consoles! However if we were talking about microsoft equipment or lame software it would really be a good idea to atleast consider the investment into a good extended warranty. That's just my opinion though i'm sure others might have other thoughts about this, but for me I've still got a ps one & ps2 that still work like new and both were launch day purchases.

C'mon man! you wanted an 80 or 60 gig with a game and chrome accents. You didn't want to spend less to get a 40gig, you finally get a in-stock link from a reputable place on exactly what you want and you're upset because you have to get 2nd controller (something you'll end up buying anyway). Your going to have to sacrifice one way or the other... A bird in the hand..... A bird in the hand...

trade or sell the 2nd remote here if you don't want it that badly but you'll end up buying one down the line..
