Default Most Violent Film(s) Ever Made

Sorry if this has been done before, but I couldn't find any other threads.

I considered the original Evil Dead movie to be the most violent ever made, especially considering it was released in 1981, and its sequel Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn definitely has the most blood I've ever seen in a movie (yes, it even beats Kill Bill). But that was until I saw Hostel recently.

A movie called Dead Alive (Brain Dead in other places) Is a pretty gory movie, very over the top...

Equilibrium, from the beginning to the end. It's unrelenting and I loved it.

The Dead Alive kick Ass.. the Lawmoer scene and priest combat is awesome. I saw it in HD quite a while ago and beleive it or not it was a considerable improvement over the DVD..... Was not looking like a new production , far from that but i was impressed...

Mel Gibson's "Passion of Christ"... that was way violent... It was shown (late) the other night on Channel 4 HD. Gratuitous violence in fact.

Historical BS as well... Mr Gibson () showed a Roman riding a horse with Stirrups. I mean Asterix the Gaul comic strips even got this one right!!!

Anything with "Cannibal" in the title is pretty much a give away you're going to see some violent stuff. Cannibal Ferox was pretty brutal.

I rarely read something about "Cannibal Holocaust" that doesn't come with a companion piece on "Cannibal Ferox". I think the two go hand in hand...

Hands down it is Nuit et brouillard (1955) (Night and Fog) by Alain Resnais. Nothing else comes even close. Nothing.

However, Viva la muerte by Fernando Arrabal, is no slouch.

What about the new Rambo? That had the most blood I have ever seen in a movie and I've seen a lot of movies!

Just watched that, and I agree. Very violent and bloody. Should have come with a little population counter that told you what the city if Barrow was reduced to once the vampires were done.
