Default Worst place to buy Blu-Rays....

Circuit City and Target are the closest stores to me. Circuit City is C**P and never has any good deals on Blu. Just recently Target started becoming competitive with Blu sales.
I never understood how places like Sam Goody or the Wherehouse stayed around for as long as they did with their prices. Best Buy is starting to annoy me a little with their $34.99 titles. Does anyone ever pay $34.99 for a Blu-Ray? While I'm on the subject Borders is terrible too. I got an Email to come in and take 40% off boxed DVD sets. Ok, so I go down there - now tell me why is House season 3 "originally marked" at $59.99. ITs never been $59.99 anywhere- ever. Lets see 40% off $60 is $36 add in the tax $38.40. I could have had Amazon put it on my doorstep for $29.99 a month ago. Didn't Macy's or Sears get in trouble for doing s**t like this...anyway this is just a rant...hopefully some representatives tune in to Blu-Ray.com.

FYE is probably the worst. Everyting is MSRP unless it's a new release, and then you have to mail in a rebate that you might or might not receive.

Thats for posting that I was gonna get Dan in Real life from them because after rebates abd stuff I think it would have been like $14...

Circuit City's prices are so high it is like they were selling gourmet versions of the same movies.

Wal-Mart, the prices may be better then Circuit City or Best Buy, but they have a crap selection of BD's. At least at Best Buy or CC, you will probably be able to find a title you are looking for, however I go to Fry's Electronics for most of my BD's, because they have a huge selection.

I laughed IRL

CC is one of the worst. I don't even bother looking there.

Anyway, the best place to buy is no place in particular- just buy used, look out for deals, and be honest with yourself in that deals are few and far between. I've only paid more than $19.99 for a blu once, and that was for Blade Runner at $24.99. Notice how I don't have every blu out there. I'm extremely patient. =D

Also, remember that retailers aren't there to take a loss, and in no way are they responsible to the consumer to take a loss. If they didn't make money, there wouldn't be a place to buy blus at all!

I hate FYE. Went in there to buy some Paramount BDs during the format wars and this clerk tried 5 times to register me for some club. Not to mention they charge more than almost anyone else.

The mall is the worst place to buy anything due to overpricing but they have what you're looking for sometimes.

if you get a borders reward card you do get some cool coupons. They are the most expensivly priced. With some movies at 39.99. For a movie, thats ridiculous .
