Just picked up The Evil Dead 2 today on blu for my Boomstick fix! I hear the video quality isn't so hot but I am anxious to hear all the crazy sound effects in PCM 5.1...

would love Army of Darkness on blu...but not until it's better quality than the HD-DVD version.

With all the versions they released on DVD you'll probably get some iteration of it that suits your fancy. There are literally about ten different DVD editions.

Anchor Bay no longer has a license on the film

I'm hoping there's a nice region free foreign edition from better elements than Universal had with the proper ending intact

Hopefully Universal or some foreign company releases a director's cut.

That trilogy is fantastic -- though it is the king of what...30-dipping? Gotta be at least that many releases of them all put together.

Hell, I think I had 4 copies of the Evil Dead at one point...
