This movie was a hell of a lot of fun. Look forward to the Region 1 release this summer.

I wasn't too sure about this movie... I was worried that it would just be another Crank type movie.

What, just because Statham was in it? LOL!! No, you'll have to wait for Crank II for that. This is a '60s set heist movie.

I liked this film a lot more than I thought that I would. To me, it took a while for the story to get going, but once it did, I was into it.

I will probably get this on BR if/when it is released to disc.

Haven't seen this, yet. But read a lot of good reviews.
Might give this a rental first though once it hits BD.

Rented The Bank Job. Great flick and a very decent disc. There aren't many scenes which really show off the good PQ and AQ but I had no problems with either.

The film seems to be composed mainly of medium shots and close-ups, which gives it something of a made-for-TV feel. Still, 1971 probably never looked so good. (I wasn't there.) PQ is probably on par quality-wise with other recent Lionsgate offerings Rambo and 3:10 to Yuma, though unlike those films The Bank Job doesn't contain any spectacular demo material.

Minor SPOILER coming up:

In one scene some characters are in the tube and there's a cool surround effect as they pull into Edgware Rd. Better-sounding than the real thing.

Nice one Lionsgate. I've put The Bank Job on my "to-buy" list.
