I saw it online and available last Saturday, but was puzzled as Philips released a statement saying that the MSRP would be $399. Strange.....but good for consumers. The owners manual says it will bitstream both TrueHD and DTS HD MA.....I'll find out tonight.

Anyone know if this will be upgradeable to BD Live?

That aside though thats a pretty sweet price for a Bluray player.

And whats better...decoding or bitstreaming? Is it really important that a player have both options?

No, this is a 1.1 player.

Doesn't say anything about codecs, but this thing will definitely get you started.

No, but our player section does.

Bitstreams both TrueHD and dts-ma through HDMI only.
Does not decode for analog. Similar to the DMP-BD30.
