Hey guys, I am thinking about purchasing Amazon.com's National Treasure 1 & 2 [Blu-ray] bundle for $39.99, but I just wanted to get an opinion from those of you who have seen National Treasure 2? I saw part 1, but kind of thought of it as being mediocre. However, I have heard mixed reviews on part 2. Would you recommend this bundle, part 2, etc?

IMO they were both on par with each other. If you liked one you'd like the other.

agree with the above. NT2 is very much more of the same... which works great for me, since i loved the first movie. however, if you thought the first one was mediocre, chances are you'll find the second one the same.

Wow just seeing the previews you can tell this movie is going to rival No Country for Old Men and I Robot for Bluray Picture Quality. I think like I Robot and Country for Old Men...National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets will score perfect in PQ. The Detail in the previews are just phenomenal...i was very impressed. When it comes on to the Bluray format i am a sucker for PQ...i would sacrifice Audio for Perfection in PQ. I think am going to definitely pre-order this one and i stress i cannot wait for the Month of May.

Take my word for it, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets is indeed a treasure. I rented it today from Hastings. I liked it so much that I am going to buy it. However, Hastings only had NT 1 in stock. The PQ and SQ are both excellent just as I had anticipated. Disney has yet again released another reference quality BD!

liked both movies...the second one uses more "well-known" places so i think its a little better than the first

I liked the 1st one a little better myself, but quite enjoyed both. I just think the 1st had a bit more riddles/clues for them to solve, and that's what I liked.

I agree with you though. These are going to look amazing on Blu. I can't wait to watch. Here's hoping it comes with that Goofy short that played before it in the theatre as well

Are you kidding? That short was quite the opposite it was like 20 minutes!!

I wanted the movie to start and stupid Goofy didn't know how to set up his home theater.

I almost flipped out when the narrator was talking about Goofy waiting for the delivery guys.

My wife and I saw both of them.

I fell asleep in the movie theater during the 2nd one due to finding so little to like about it.

That was the one and only time I have ever fallen asleep on a movie and I've seen hundreds over 40 years.

Regardless, my wife liked them both and we have them both pre-ordered for blu purchase.

I don't see the Goofy short (or "short", some of you might think) listed in the extras, which if it isn't would be a big disappointment, at least to me.

For those of you who didn't like it, then at least on Blu you won't have to do so. But it would be worth having to me, just like having the Pixar shorts that release with the feature length animations adds to the experience at home.
