I'm currently seeing for download (from an HD-DVD disc):

The Fifth Element (720p) 4.33Gib
Pirates 7.92GiB
Kung-Fu Hustle (1080i) 7.67GiB

So it is most definitely possible. Although the ones I'm seeing are compressed to fit on a DVD. Still haven't seen a FULL HD-DVD yet.

Those are from satellite caps. What happened to HD-DVD is pure uncompressed goodness right off of the disc.

So were you able to watch the movie? How? Did you just watch it from the hard-drive, or did you burn it on some disc?

It happened at the wee hours of the night, once people wake up and have their morning coffee, it will be much more widespread then it is at the moment. I'm sure all the blog sites are going to post this like psycho today as well. Watch for it.
