I really don't know why they have to destroy a pretty original story, by making a sequel. this is the only reason i can't stand Hollywood. once they make a profit out of something, they want to make more of it.

Right now the only way they can get the funding for the big budget pics is to play it safe.

The credit crunch means regurgitated ideas for the next few years.

Those pics might just tie into the first ones. If you watch the movie at the VERY END where they are at the amusement park you can see something fall into the water... which many believe is the monster.
