Where to buy Face/Off? - Blu-ray Forum

I usually get all my Blus from Amazon, which ship most orders out on Mondays. For example, I got a confirmation email today saying that National Treasure was shipped out. Anyway, I ordered Face/Off from dvdempire.com and haven't recieved an email for shipment all day. I checked my account and it's status was "OPEN" so I cancelled. I'm trying my luck tomorrow at my local Best Buy... It's funny, this site and many others say the release date is May 20th and Amazon says its June 3rd.

Yeah, I think tomorrow (actually, today now) is the most uncertain I've been on the releases. I have no idea what to expect locally b/c of all the confusion on release dates, titles that were pulled reappearing, etc.

I don't think Amazon even has it for pr-order yet, there is no active link for it just the same placeholder that has been there since last July...

If you scroll down a bit and read the specs you'll see it says Release Date: June 3rd.

Buy.com has it listed in stock....walmart has a bunch of the rereleases (not blades of glory or face/off) listed in-stock....i think its going to be hit and miss with these titles....anyone know of any news concerning the rereleases...are they delayed or not....i wanna know

I went to walmart today, excited to get Face/Off and saw that they have a whole 3 shelf lengths devoted to blu releases, but they are not stocked AT ALL!. I asked someone and he said "everything should be back to normal by the weekend". It's f** tuesday!. ugh. i blame redneck shopping centers for the #1 reason blu-ray has not killed dvd yet.

I went to the register at Fry's in Dallas and tried to get it for $19.99. No luck in my attempt. I just can't buy blu's for more than $19.99.

Anyway, I stopped at a Super Walmart a block from my house on the way home from Fry's and found it for 3 cents less at $19.96. I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised!

My local walmart had all the paramount releases except for Disturbia. Only picked up Face/Off.

Go get it at Wal-Mart for $19.96. That's where I saw Face/Off and other Paramount Blu-ray re-releases such as The Italian Job, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Mission: Impossible 1, 2 and 3, and Shooter!

I am very ready to walk into Future Shop and purchase this Blu ray steel book with legal tender.

I think it was now meant to be a month or so back when I walked in and tried to get this on bluray but found out it was sold out. It was just the plastic bluray cover at the time, the steelbook is what this film deserves.

Well, it isn't, because Face / Off has one of the worst Blu-Ray transfers I've had the displeasure of owning. I couldn't even watch the whole movie before selling the disc. Presentation of the film >>>>>>>>>>>>>> packaging.
