Default We need something like this...

...

Did you remember the Encore series from Creative that pushed the DVD for PCs? It was a great idea from my point of view.

Why donīt the BDA think about this? Imagine getting a BluRay drive for see BD movies in your PC and today the PCs are enough powerful for play BluRay movies without any special card like the DVDs from end of nineties needed.

It is a very good idea, npt sure which companies from the BDA would do it though, unless we can get Pioneer to team up with nVidia, maybe have a deal, for $600 get a Blu-ray player drive and 7900GTX.

Well, the next gen video cards will have H.264, VC-1 and MPEG2 hardware decoding built in along with all the DirectX-10 goodies. So all you'll have to do is get a decent video card and you should be able to watch anything either format throws at you.

Yup, I get where you're coming from and I think I agree with you, at least on concept.

You will not need to spend 300. The main decoders will be in the lower end of the video cards as well for the next gen.
