I guess it's what you grew up with. If you saw the original trilogy in the theatre, you probably enjoy the original version. If you saw the original on VHS Or DVD for the first time, you probably like those versions.

yeah i grew up with the orignals on vhs, then got to see the special editions in the theaters then i now own the special speical editions on dvd as well as the originals,

the way i see it is if you want to watch Star wars, watch the originals only, no prequel crap, if you want to watch the saga in order watch the new versions

The only part that I really notice is the Anakin Skywalker switch at the end of Jedi.

I keep expecting old pasty faced Anakin and I keep getting that nitwit they used in the first 3 movies.

You nailed that one on the head... "Nitwit"... however, it doesn't compare to that whiny ass kid in episode I

I enjoy both for what they are worth. but prefer the theatrical versions.

That being said it would have been so much better if jar jar could be edited out and episodes I and II completely re-done with a different anakin skywalker

Theatrical versions for a multitude of reasons. It wasn't broken, why did he try to fix it?

We need the following on blu-ray:

Star Wars Episode IV, V & VI the original trilogy on blu-ray in anamorphic widescreen

Star Wars Episode I, II, III, IV, V, & VI special editions on blu-ray in anamorphic widescreen

And of course all in AVC with DTSHD

I love the scream the Luke does falling down the air shaft in Empire Strikes back, just kidding that was cheesy as hell.....

And I want the wolf man alien back in Star Wars Episode IV... They covered that cool joker up with another alien.... That sucks....

I want all muppets in Episode I, II and III Give me the old Yoda....

Release the original Trilogy, Lucas will....

I think when it comes out on Blu they need to have both versions of the movie on each disc.
