This sucks REAL bad. They really need to get the guitars to work together, or no sale for me. But then there's the drums . . . this is horrible. I like Load . . . plenty of good songs on there. Couple good ones on Reload too . . . after that They're supposed to have a new album coming out. Hopefully it's a return to form.

greatest band ever. new album out this fall, cant wait

this should be good, hopefully the songs span over the band's entire career. st anger was a huge let down so they can skip that or use a few songs, but definitely focus more on kill-black album

Well, I rather this than Aerosmith ed.

Still, I'm not falling for another round of Activision disappointment. I grew up on Metallica and if it wasn't for them, I probably would have never picked up a guitar. There was a time... maybe 7-8 years ago, where I could cover any song from any of the albums up to and including the black album without glancing at the tab. I think the only solo I remember now is Master of Puppets...

...anyways I've fallen off topic here. GH3 did some permanent damage when they rebranded GH2 with HD-upscaled graphics and a shoddy controller, and called it a sequel. I've been thoroughly disappointed by their unwillingness to improve or add to the game, especially in terms of downloadable content. With every new release, it seems more and more evident that it's just a cash grab for a stale reguritated product.

And, as much as I'm excited for metallica songs in guitar hero, I don't think I can stand the disappointment of not being able to nail the note charts like I can on a real guitar. Sucks the frigging joy right out of it.

I like(d) GH, but Activision has been doing their best to destroy it. And this band exlusive stuff is dopey. Why not just make it DL content? I still hate them for refusing to let their guitar work with Rock band, and not making the PS3 guitar work with GH 1 and 2 on backwards compatibility. So glad I bought that TAC adapter so I could use my GH1 guitar on the PS3 for GH3. I won't be buying anymore Guitar Hero games. I'll just have to hope Metallica is not exclusive to GH like Aerosmith.

No, those are all DLR albums which are pretty darn good. Sammy stuck and the band has yet to recover. 1984 and Jump more specifically, was the start of the Sammy era suckfest.

1984 had Panama, Top Jimmy, Drop Dead Legs, Hot For Teacher, Girl Gone Bad, and House of Pain. Even I'll Wait was cool.

...Yeah. You know 1984 IS a Roth album right? Just checking. I saw Halen with Roth last fall. They've more than recovered.
