Default Anyone looked at Discovery Atlas yet?

I've seen three new titles in BD... kind of demo/documentary things... one on China, one on Australia and... can't remember the other. Has anyone bought any of these? I'm interested to know if it's HD video at 30 or 32fps or if it's been bumped down to 24fps like the latest Blu-Ray DTS demo disc.

There's two reviews up at DVDFile.com

It's actually 1080i60. Yes, 1080i. If you read the reviews mentioned above, they discuss issues with the interlaced video.

Thanks for that. Just read through it. I'll pick one of them up, maybe the China one and decide whether to grab the other two from there - and let you guys know what I found.

I was at Fry's Electronics yesterday and they had each of these for $17.99 each. Seems kind of pointless to buy the Blu-Ray box set for $99 then. I was tempted to buy them but I refrained... I've bought over 20 Blu-Ray movies since early December when I got my PS3.

You can go to the Discovery stores too, if you have one in your area.

Or you can get them all here with free shipping. They don't have the box set though. Only the DVD box set.

I picked up Italy, China and Australia. Australia is the better than China. China is too soft, not looking like HD really. Italy looked good too but I've only watched abot 2 mins of that one. Australia definately rocks. Extremely good demo material. China looked more like a laserdisc. Not as bad as VHS but not even as good as SD DVD in my opinion.
