Or both with seamless branching.

More seamless branching titles would be cool...

Big Spiderman fan. Started collectiing Spidey Comics when I was 10. I too want the extended edition. How can we let Sony know thats what we want on the Blu Ray edition?

2.1? Does that imply there might be a 2.2 upgrade sometime in the future?

Oh well, I'm hoping for both versions of this great movie on one disc. What better way to showcase the blu-ray format!

A Spiderman 2.1 on BD would be a dream come true...but highly likely that this title be be double dipping. The first release in May will probably be a theatrical cut only but probably atleast with Tier 1 pq...

I think there is a good chance of getting the BD in '2.1' form, both discs are probably made from the same master, considering how close they are being released to each other. If they are not the same, Sony would likely have to make two new masters rather than just the one, and this process can be costly.

It's highly doubtful that sony will release this version on BD. Only saying this from experience. But look at Tears of the Sun and Black Hawk Down. Both had recently released DC's and they were both transferred from the original SD. Sad to say. You would have hoped that Black Hawk Down would have been supplemented with the features and trailers from the three disc collector's edition. Bastards

Probably not. They'll just jump to 3.0

I hope Sony is smart enough to release this 2.1 version on Blu-ray.

Default Spider man 2.1 on blu ray?

Long time reader first time poster here!

My question is pretty simple, I've read that the spiderman movies will be making their way onto BR at some point in the future, but does anyone know if the second installment will be the newer edition of Spiderman 2(Spiderman 2.1)? I would hope Sony would'nt screw us by releasing the first version and the second at a later date.

Since Spiderman is owned by Sony, you guys can rest assured that this will see daylight on BD.
