Default TDK entire release won't look as good as the prologue. Here is why!

I own the blu-ray release of Batman Begins and have posted images of the release here and after reading a review here ( http://emanuellevy.com/article.php?articleID=10176 ) I noticed this paragraph:

"Technically speaking, six sequences of "The Dark Knight" were filmed with IMAX cameras, including the opening six minutes, which represent bravura filmmaking. This marks the first time ever that a major feature film has been even partially shot using IMAX cameras, in what is an intriguing integration of the two formats."

I wish the entire film was filmed with imax camreas as the blu-ray 6 minute preview looks amazing.

Default I agree...

I didn't expect much out of the Prolouge visual wise, but the scene's with the Gotham (Chicago) backdrop look amazing, both on the disc and on The Dark Knight Imax featurette found on youtube

Five other parts were also filmed in IMAX, your own quote contradicts you...
Besides, I can tell you that the movie looks phenomenal.

I just watched the first 6 min of TDK today as well and was stunned by the 1quality of the PQ. I thought this was an indicator of what to expect when it's released on Blu...I guess not.

I personally feel that this is a BS thread. Unless you have a gigantic screen, you are not going to notice the difference. The movie is going to look incredible on Blu-ray all the way around since you aren't watching it in an actual movie theater.

wow, yeah. im pretty sure it will look good all the way through. especially becausse they have to integrate the 2 film formats, nolan will probably be doing alot of work on the transfers, so there is no doubt it will look great. plus you wont notice a difference because the imax footage will be downconverted to 1080p just like 35mm film is, it may look a tad better color-wise and stuff, but not resolutioin.

What are the chances that the eventual Dark Knight Blu-ray release will feature variable aspect ratios, alternating between 2.35:1 for the footage shot on usual film and 1.78:1 for the IMAX stuff?
