Default Digital coaxial to optical?

I'm in need of a cable. Both ends need to be male, one digital coaxial and the other optical. Does such a thing exist? If so, where could I purchase it?

Thanks in advance.

If this has already been asked I apologize. I did a search and didn't see it.

Thank you both for your quick responses! I'm sure this is what I need.

Edit: seems one of the responses was deleted. Thanks at any rate.

Edit 2: For those who find this in a search, here is a cheaper version: SIIG CE-CTC012-S2 Toslink-to-Coaxial converter - Retail . I'm ordering one right now. Once I get it in the mail and hook it up, I'll post another edit to verify that everything worked properly.

I used to use something just like this before I upgraded my receiver and it worked great. My only complaint is that it's powered and thus you have more wires running.

Have any of you had any luck with optical y adapters? I've seen that people on most sites give some of them mixed reviews, complaining that they malfunction because they're made cheaply.

That was the reason I stayed away. If you do that I'd recommend one that you have to switch- "always on" ones malfunction apparently. But then, you have to get up and switch it.

After having gone through the same hunt you are now, I'd recommend what you linked. No having to get up and mess with it, and once you set it you can forget it.

if you dont mind me asking, what do you need it for tho?

are you connecting via the optical out from i.e. a ps3 to your reciever that has only a coax connection? or just want to try using the coax part of the reciever?

optical and coax doesnt really have any difference in regards to sound quality, the only two problems that i see on both of them are

optical - connectivity; sometimes they arent as 'firm' as the coax cable
- 'breaks' in the cable; the flexibility of these cables can sometimes
be a hindrance in your current setup.

coax - connectivity; some very little amount of users say its 'too tight' and
end up damaging their components - thats mostly user error in my
book.
- interference; using a poor coax cable can sometimes pick up
noise from other electronic components
