Default Playing blu-ray discs from different countries

Hey guys, i'm a newbie here! I live in Australia and i just recently got the Panasonic DMP-BD30 player. Overall i am very happy with it but im not too sure if i was to buy a blu-ray movie from america would i be able to play it on mine? I'm kinda confused about the whole thing.

blu-ray discs have regions on them you have to find out which movies in america are compatible with your Australian blu-ray player

Hi mate!.

Ausies and we europeans are in the same boat! that means we have to import from over the pond!. So Do like I do find a nice BD site u can buy from I prefer Axel music where I can import my BD's from. Have imported alot of great bd's until the distros over here can findgure out that there is something called BLU-RAY!.
