Default Warner now releasing New Line Blu-ray???

I was reading on dvdactive.com that blow is being released by Warner Bros. Does this mean now that all New line titles are going to be released through Warner?

This is pretty cool seeing that most New Line titles are region locked and Warner's arent.

Anyone know any info on this?

It is not cool. New Lines were dtsma 7.1 and good transfers. Most of warners are dolby digital 5.1 with poor transfers DNR'D to death. Warner either doesn't give a S**** or the people who left recently that wicky talked about who were red ants were doing it on purpose. I don't know. Or there is my take. Warner loves to double dip.

New Line has been a subsidiary of Warner for years, but they recently restructured.

As for this being good news I would have to disagree because New Line has released some very good transfers on a much more consistent basis than Warner.

Warner has certainly left quite a bit to be desired on many movies. This wasnt good news IMO.

WB does need to beef up their Blu-ray quality. But i think that in the past, they were doing things the fast cheap way by making it for HD DVD and porting it to BD. Now they still have that going on with their catch-up titles. BUT there is still a good chance that they will up the quality with newer titles.
We still have to wait and see what they do, but I do want lossless audio and the best video encodes they can give. I just wish they would do it faster and with all their releases.

Wicky has been informing that Warner is working on releasing all Blu-ray titles with HD sound. I am just about fed up with that (no HD sound), but I will wait a couple of more months before making a final judgement on the situation.

That's where I am at. I figure HD DVD has to be dead for at least a while before things really start to change. But it's gotta be pretty obvious to WB that something needs to be done. I mean, every other studio uses lossless/uncompressed audio in some form on every single release now. That has to say something...
