Default Terminator Sarah Connor - who has the better Blu?

Now that this fantastic series is available in both America and here in the UK I'm curious as to who has the better Blu-Ray package: us Brits or our friends accross the pond!

The UK version is quite impressive and I believe includes all the extras of the U.S. counterpart but I read that there was a problem with viewing episodes on the American version, apparently you have to skip forward a few chapters to get to the next episode - this sucks big time. The UK version is divided into the proper episode titles so you can just select any episode to view which is how it should be for any series. Also us Brits get a beautiful outer slip-case with raised 'Terminator etc' lettering and sunken metallic effects on Camerons cheek & shoulder for that Terminator effect. We Brits also get the better sleeve cover I believe.

This would have been the perfect package had it not been for one thing that has been left out: A brochure inlay with episode details etc!

Of course us Blu fans do have the upper hand over the standard DVD version as they only have 3 deleted scenes when we get all the glorious extras!

What do you think of the Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles Blu Ray?

No one likes a smug Brit... See what I did there?
Regardless of different content, our UK artwork is far better IMO. I was going to order the US set from Movietyme, but I had access Zavvi vouchers lying around, so I just went with the UK set. I can post pictures later if anyone wants, I'm slacking at work at the moment.

I just saw it on ebay for 50.00 USD and it says REGION --

I don't trust ebay sellers to know.

Thanks all.

i dont like the UK releases because they put those ugly #s on the front of the coverart, you know the ratings, 15,18 etc

Let's go through it on points:
A) Same extras - tie - 1 point each
B) Save Audio/Video - tie - 1 point each
C) Slipcase - both have one with embossing - I like the US one better - 1 point US
D) Episode Selection - available on either version - tie - 1 point each
E) Booklet - US comes with one with episode summaries and features - 1 point US

Final Score:
UK - 3
US - 5

Thanks for playing.

You can access Episode selection on the US version through the pop-up menu.

What is so hard about doing that???

THANKS

I didnt know we can select episodes in pop-up menu, gonna try that tonight. I only finished 3 episodes so far.

BTW,

those who are reading this thread and have not gotten this series, you're missing out!!

I'm not a terminator fan by all means, but the story is nice and gives good development of the characters from the original T1/T2. nice dialogue and PQ.

Quick Q for those who have this series, it says partially 480P, partially 1080P, what exactly.. does that mean? I noticed some scenes are sharp and great, but certain scenes (especially with darker background/night/inside the house) are a little blurry/grainy.

This is the MOST expensive Blu i have purchased so far and its the best purchase so far. I'm actually going to keep this series instead of turn it over later on.

Mines on order, saw the first few episodes when they aired and enjoyed it, finally there was a network scifi show I could enjoy other than BSG

There is a documentary on the disc that is in 1080. The rest of the extras are in 480.

The episodes however are ALL 1080p.

Thanks for the clarification. I could care less if the extras are 480~ but I guess if they are 1080, it'd be even better.
