Default Is the physical BD diff. from a DVD disc ?

BDs feel a little different to me. Thicker maybe? The edges are sort of rounded? Or am I imagining things?

Not sure if it's more rounded, could be.
Because of the dye, it could be possible that it feels thicker... But actually it isn't.

From the Blu-ray.com FAQ:
Quote:
Disc diameter: 120 mm (BD) vs 120 mm (DVD)
Disc thickness: 1.2 mm (BD) vs 1.2 mm (DVD)

Ah, thanks. I went and looked at that. I know you would have caught this if it were there (and I didn't mention this in the first post) but it didn't list weight. Maybe the hardcoat makes it heavier than a DVD. If I'm crazy so be it but I'm trying to aviod coming to that conclusion.

Funny enough, the allowable range for a Blu-ray disc is a few grams less than that for a DVD.

Maybe it's a bit lighter because it has to spin faster?
