Default Help With Hdmi

Hello i have a runco cl-420 projrctor a panasonic blu-ray and a pioneer elite 90 when I try hooking it up from the player to the receiver to the runco it detects for a min then searches and on and on. When i plug direct from the player to the runco it works. I'm using a vizionware HDMI 30' cable and a Monster M series 3' cable for the patch anyone have any ideas i have called everyone with no joy.

Is it a new setup?

Have you tried running another video source through the receiver to the projector (like dvd) to make sure that part of the chain is okay?

Okay, next I would try to hook up the blu-ray player to the receiver with component cables.

When you hooked the player to the projector directly, did you use the 3' or 30' cable? If it was the 3' initially, I'd try to hook it directly with the 30' to eliminate the long cable as a suspect.

Did you assign your HDMI inputs? and/or hook them up as listed in the manual?

Default hdmi help

i have a panny bd30 and a panny ptax200u connected thru a onkyo 805. the same thing happened to me luckily i had a component cable ran with the hdmi. for some reason the panny bd30 kept switching back to the component connection from the hdmi. so when my projector couldnt find the signal i had to switch to the component input and select the hdmi input, in the panny bd30 menu. it happened 3 times and stopped for some reason.
