White Knight Story vs FFXIII(Post your thoughts/Opinions)

With Final Fantasy XIII coming who knows when and White Knight Story to be playable at next months Tokyo Game Show

I wana here your thoughts and see what you think in your opinion will turn out better?!

I don't know about you but I have high hopes for White Knight Story being the next big rpg series!

Graphics appear outstanding in the picture but gotta know about the gameplay. Will it have the battle system like most rpgs (Fight, Magic, Item, etc.) or will it be the type that lets you run around and dodge opponents?

This is the first I am hearing about White Knight.

When I threw Final Fantasy XII in for the first time, I was blown away by the cut scenes and then really disappointed by the control. (It just felt so foreign).
About a week later, I was eyeBALLS deeeeeep in my first 32 hour session of the game and was hooked. Final Fantasy XII is the first FF game I have ever taken the time to get 100% on and so I am very much looking forward to XIII.

(ps- I was on my way to 100% of X and I forgot what made me stop???
I did get Onion Knight though which was somewhat of a religious experience and for weeks afterward, if a light flickered, my button finger twitched.)

Ok here is some info, for those who don't know what to expect from White Knight Story.

PS3 Fanboy Article:

The player customization is exactly what we wanted to hear -- you create a character to travel with the main party. That means we've still got a static main character and other party members, but you create your own self-image to travel with them. This is a fantastic move, if you ask us. Our reasoning is complicated, but if you're curious enough, we might type up a rant about it should it be requested. This character customization mechanism was actually used to create the main protagonist as well as over 1,000 NPCs.

Finally, gameplay. Level 5 indicates that, aside from the White Knight transformation, battles will play out similar to Rogue Galaxy. We've noticed a few subtle differences, though. Battles seem more organized in pacing, less "mash square and triangle" like RG often forced us to do. It was square and triangle, right? Been a while. What we really think was meant in this comparison was this: action-based RPG battles with seamless loads between battles and map-wandering. The crutch of a standard hard drive in the PS3 will help in shattering any sort of load times and we believe if anyone can pull it off, it should be Level 5. We'll keep you posted with more details as they arrive.

I REALLY hope it doesn't have that same fighting gameplay as these last 2 ffantasys. I stopped playing them after ffx-2 because i like that kind of active t/b gameplay over this new computer game feel that these last to ff's have had. I find myself playing ff7 and ffx so many times because of that fighting engine. Sure it my be a bit played to some but i rather have that then feeling like i'm playing a computer game on a computer like some xbox rpgs...or if it played like star was unleashed which i've had since thursday of this past week, that would be HOT as well.

I honestly think both games are gonna be awesome.

If the fighting style on 13 is the same as it was on FF12, then I won't even buy the game which would make it pretty easy for WKC to be better. If Square has done some work on the fighting system, then I think FF13 will win hands down.

Don't forget the story also deliver on the win. If it doesn't, (which I hope it does) then that sucks.

EXACTLY CAddy. I'd love to see an updated version or part 2 to Skies Of Arcadia or the OLD school phantasy stars. I know they remade them but never released them in the USA. Like always, we get screwed while Japan gets all the good stuff. I thought they were remaking ff7 8 and 9.
