I noticed that 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up were in the Best Buy add for $24.99 each this week, instead of the 30th. WTH?

The EE wasn't the only problem... let's not forget about the overly decusting amount of DNR

I'm thinking *hoping* they will re-do this as they have done re-encodes for each Blu-ray (some better then HD DVD, some worse) but the point is, it does have a chance... It comes with both versions while the HD DVD was just the unrated. Let's hope the master isn't the source of the problem.

Just the waxing scene is worth the price of the BD. I often suspect that they went totally ad-lib during that. The Waxer lady was so on the money.

A few months ago Best Buy listed a DVD for release two weeks early (Frontiers). I was told it was a misprint (the website listed it as it's normal release date...but the online weekly ad was still two weeks early). So I checked my local Best Buy...they had it in stock two weeks early.

So check your local Best Buy...just because the website currently lists it as its normal release date doesn't mean it won't be in stock when they say it is. I picked up my DVD two weeks early because I bothered to go to the store and check, back when everyone else seemed to just shrug it off as a misprint and go to Best Buy two weeks later.

So check your local store. Don't be surprised if it is in stock. They were probably told it was going to ship in this week and just assumed Sept 16 was the release date.

I'll be picking all three up. While KNOCKED UP is my favorite of the three, VIRGIN and MARSHALL were still consistently funny and emotional films that put them miles above what normally passes as comedy nowadays.

This and the PLANET OF THE APES series are the Blu-Rays I'm anticipating the most.
