Default Connecting Sony AR21S to Sony Bravia issues

I have a Sony Vaio AR21S Laptop with Blu-Ray Disk drive, a Sony Bravia KDL-V40A12U HD TV, Denon DHT 500SD Home cinema system and a Sky HD box. I want to connect my Laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable, to allow the playing of a Blu-Ray disk onto the screen. Has anyone done this or similar before that could advise me.
Currently my Home Cinema is driven by the Sky HD box to which it is connected by an optical cable. How do I get the best audio output from the laptop. Presumably this needs to be connected to the Home Cinema in some way, but how?
I am new to this forum so apologies if this question has been covered elsewhere.

Exclamation Connecting Sony AR21S to Sony Bravia issues

This is the first time I have used this forum and it seems that after 81 views, no one can help me. In the meantime I have managed to resolve the problem which is that I would link my laptop to the Home Cinema, optically. This is the first forum I have joined where I have had to answer my own question, despite 81 other members finding the thread sufficiently interesting as to view it!

I'm one of the people that read this thread... but it could be that the combination of laptop, Bravia, Sky HD box is one that most do not have. I sure don't! Sorry!

I use the laptop as the playback/display unit itself, so *I* couldn't help you.
I see that you did notice the optical output for audio - cool!

Dadkins
Thanks for the reply. I suppose I thought that as this was a 'Sony' forum that my set up would not be unusual. The title says it all and it appears that 153 have thought it worth reading. Thanks anyway.
