None of my business but always wondered how anyone would watch them all and watch them more than 1 to justify buying to begin with.

But none of my business so I will shut up lol

I only have 100.

Full-time 5th-year college student, architect-in-training over the summers.

Then again, I've been at this almost a year - it's the glorious new equipment that this summer paid for.

5 - never watched
5- started but never finished
30 - watched once
10 - watched once and watched again partially
10 - watched multiple times
5 - watched 5+ times

I am the same way with dvds, so I am just getting rid of them lol. I bought them because one day I knew I would want to watch them again.

I've only got about 75 or so, with about a dozen pre-ordered. A lot of kids movies, so they get watched multiple times easily. Underdog is well into the double digits, and Speed Racer isn't far behind.

I'm much more selective with what I buy on Blu, and I'm playing the waiting game with all but my 'must haves'. I jumped on DVD early, and have had more than my fair share of multi-buys so I'm not as quick to buy Blu's like I was with them. Plus I'm selling them now, so I don't want to take too much of a hit later down the road if I decide to dump blu for the next big thing.

Most of my purchases lately have been 360 games, and a couple for my new PS3. But I play the waiting game on games too, because I don't feel compelled to own most games until the price is right. I'll get Dead Rising when it can be had for 10 bucks, and Lego Batman when it's around $20.

As for work, I work in IT for the government so I do OK and can spoil myself with a movie/game now and then. A lot cheaper to buy Wall-E on Blu than to take everyone to the movies, and then they can watch it lots of times.

I have around 40 - 50 BDs and I bet that's about 20 too many. Only so many titles I will watch multiple times so I mainly rent now.

When I look back... why did I buy Narnia for example?!?!? One Watch so far(good movie but not epic great to make me watch it over and over)... 2 max after a few years. Waste of money really.

Everyone is different of course.

Right now I'm working in Web Development.

but 200 movies isn't that hard to get if you look for deals. I started last october and now look at my signature (that says it all). I've averaged about $13-$14 per disc cuz I'm patient and wait for sales or get them used here on the forums etc.. You can be a smart shopper as well as enjoy the latest movies.

I have bought about 150 HDM movies since June last year. About 70 HD DVDs and about 80+ Blu's.

For maybe 20 of them i've paid more than 20 Euros (i am in Europe, HD movies here are priced along the lines of 1$ = 1 Euro, so we get MSRPs of like 30+ Euros. Don't convert that to US$.... lol ), the rest was below that. I almost only buy during sales or used. If you shop around, you can build up a nice collection for roughly what you'd pay for new day&date DVDs.

I work in "consulting" though, so gladly i don't (always) have to turn every penny.

My latest purchases (the past 30 or so) are the most expensive ones as they are mostly new/pre-ordered, etc.

but my first 50-60 or so are mostly used/sales/package deals.

I also bought a bulk deal here, which has most of what I wanted. It was like 90 for 8 BDs, that included likes of stargate, mr.mrs smith, blood diamond, casino royale, etc.. (some are good titles, some are throw-ins, which I sold here as well ,ha)

Oh yea, I work as a strategic operations consultant at a major healthcare consulting company. I dont get paid much, I think, in comparison to what I COULD have been doing. But market's bad, paid is not great, but it is decent..

Oh well, I watch movies a lot, so its worth it. Plus, I only have a few DVDs that I bought on ebay for $3 shipped each!! :P So, not double dipping or replacing any collection. Great time to join the BD crowd!!
